Solar motion-sensor light - camera housing for the yard, barn, and driveway

Solar wall light with motion sensor - camera look, no wiring required

This LED outdoor light charges during the day via its own solar panel and switches on at night when motion is detected. The housing looks like a security camera, but it is only a light and does not record anything.

Why this solar light?

You get light wherever it is needed, without an electrician or an outdoor power outlet. The camera housing also makes the wall appear more watchful.

• Built-in solar panel: 138 × 80 mm, stores daylight in an 18650 battery.
• Motion sensor: detects people and vehicles at approximately 6 to 8 m and keeps the light on for around 20 seconds.
• Weatherproof housing: ABS and PC with IP64 protection against dust and splashing water.
• Camera appearance: looks like a security camera, without recording functionality.
• Battery protection: switches off at 2.7 V and on again at 3.0 V.

Once screwed in place, the dark corner by the shed is taken care of.

Install the light on a wall or post where the panel can receive as much unobstructed daylight as possible, as trees, roofs and walls hinder charging. Long periods of cloudy weather reduce the lighting duration at night. The range also depends on the height and angle, so test it before drilling the final holes.
