These boots end above the ankle and are laced with metal hooks, keeping the foot in place on loose scree and wet roots. A cushioned EVA footbed takes the sting out of long descents. The rubber sole has deep lugs that shed mud instead of trapping it.

Why choose hiking boots?

On a well-maintained trail, a flat shoe is enough, but once the terrain tilts, it is not. A shaft extending above the ankle joint limits how far the foot can roll sideways, while proper lacing keeps the heel at the back. This combination makes a full day on changing terrain manageable.

Lace up from the toes and only then fasten the upper hooks, so the heel is secure before the shaft is tightened. A thicker hiking sock fills the volume and takes some of the strain off the lacing. Knock dried mud out of the lugs to keep the tread grippy.
